Currencies – New Hybrid Solutions
One of the problems with carrying around gold and silver is that it can be hard to use for small transactions. Carrying around gold and silver can also make the metals subject to theft.
A new hybrid is on the scene to help out. These are called Goldback and Valaurum Notes. The Goldback and Valaurum Notes are a specific weight of gold between two high strength pieces of plastic.
The Goldbacks are weighed in divisions of a once and the Valaurum are measured in divisions of a gram. The following are examples of these Notes.
The artwork has really come a long way and the notes contain precise measurements of gold and counterfeit protection.
The usefulness comes from the gold being available in very small units which make the notes more available to be used for everyday transactions.
Currently there is a premium on these notes, but this will decrease as more and more notes are made.
