Star Money L

Where Can I Find And Store Star Money?

It is always helpful to have some coins or notes on hand, typically gold or silver. If the electricity goes out, you won’t be able to access your crypto or bank accounts or use your VISA/Mastercard. If you have an emergency go-bag, keep some coins with that.

My personal opinion is to keep 90% in crypto or storage and 10% of your holdings near you in a safe place. Safe’s are great but thieves look for these first. Use structures that have a high fire rating as no one likes melted coins 🙂

Keeping coins in a bank safety deposit box is not recommended. You only have access when the bank is open. If there is a banking crisis, your coins are locked behind a vault door that you don’t have access to. The bank may remain closed for a long period of time.

Large vault storage like the State of Texas, or other commercial vaults can hold and ship your metals to you for a fee. Make sure that your metals are allocated, not pooled, and that they are inventoried. As long as shipping across country borders or state lines is allowed, this is a great way to go for your physical. Otherwise you have to drive to them to retrieve your Star Money should you need it.

My links below are based on my experience, always do your own homework. I use three primary vendors to buy my physical Star Money. I prefer Scottsdale Mint.I prefer (and this is based on experience and not renumeration by the company):

I like GoldSilver.com as they have physical and a vault allocation service. As I have said, I don’t want to hold any large portions of gold and silver in my house. GoldSilver.com has a great education program and it is a way to own Star Money without having to bring it to your house or vault it. The GoldSilver vaults are allocated.

I have had mixed results internationally. I have used Stacker Market which is associated with the Shanghai metals exchange. It worked well for a period of time but one day I couldn’t get into my account, I only had a white screen. They wanted to re-certify my credentials for anti-money laundering AML purposes. AML is a standard and routine process for international and domestic accounts. However Stacker Market was the only company that has given me a lock-out and a white screen so that I couldn’t see my balances or any transactions. Since this was international it gave me great concern so I repatriated the balances as soon as possible.

Until this happened I had received great and professional service. I recommend them if you are comfortable with international markets. I just don’t like being ghosted while they re-certify my credentials..

Also, at the date of this writing in 2025Feb, if you have foreign bank accounts of precious metals cash, or other investments, you will need to file additional US tax forms if you are a US taxpayer.
